I have an m1008 all stock drive train. I have run it about 60-63 on flat ground and its turning about 32-3350 RPM. I have a tachometer.

So I was wondering how fast y'all drive your cucv m1008 or m1028, m1010 or pick up variants also the m1009.

Thanks.

Indicated 65 which is about 60 MPH true. Have topped out over 70 indicated. I really need a 4L80E swap.

I usually run my M1009 with Stock drivetrain about 95 km/h max ...but I did 120 km/h ...once :D Maybe with other tires...mine are fully Offroad and a bit bigger than the Stock ones...33x12.5 ^^

Stock M1008 with 35" tires (minor lift). Always no faster than 55 as indicated by the speedometer,
which is probably actually about 60 due to the tires.

75 MPH indicated, 62 MPH true.
For some reason that feels like the sweet spot while on the highway.
M1009 31in stock tires

In My M1009 with 31x10.5 tires. On the highway I run between 65-70 mph GPS. Sometimes I will run it 75 mph GPS, maybe a few minutes. I try and keep it around 70 MPG GPS.
I also have a tachometer installed. The tach averages around 2600 around 70 MPH. As been mentioned before MPGs really do suffer over 65 MPH.

I run my 1028 equipped with Gear Vendor OD at about 2310 RPMs or 65-70 MPH. I don't run it over 2400 RPM. Otherwise stock except for 4" lift and 37" surplus radials. Personally I think over 2500 RPM is too much for the 6.2. Just my opinion.

Flat out. M1028 / M1008 / M1009 / M1031 / M1010. As fast as it can mechanically go and stay still stay together. We have been down this road before. And I don't care what anyone has to say. Been there done it and had others follow me with newer things that have accurate speedometers. Is the engine screaming ah yea a wee bit but I always get there. Drove from coast to coast (M1028A1) and back loaded with another on the tow bar. Flat out. Do I feel like I have to prove it? I don't think so. I still think that if you keep them full of oil and other fluids. Maintain them well and keep them stock they will run indefinitely. Fix every little hicup that comes along and you can keep them running. 21 years of hard use and it is still going. Maintenance is the key.

Using a gear ratio calculator a vehicle with 4.56 gears,31 tires traveling at 65 mph would be pulling 3212.59 rpms.A vehicle with 3.08 gears ,31 tires at 65mph would be at 2169.91 rpms. Same 3.08 geared vehicle at 2500rpm comes out to be 74.89 mph. A 3.08 vehicle with 33s at 75mph the rpms should be 2352. Remember this is just from a calculator, not real world experience. But the #s do seem right on my vehicles.
