Have done a lot of little stuff. Panted the ceiling and installed the last of the lower lights. Painted and replaced the screen for the sink window

Received some goody's from Ebay. I bought a 120 watt solar panel for $115 with shipping and a charge controller for $20. I don't know how anyone could pay 150 or more for a 45 watt system from Harbor Freight. I mounted the solar panel and tested it with a light. I also painted and installed the window frame over the table.

I cut in the last side window.
Replaced my power inverter with a 2300/4600 watt unit. It will run the rooftop A/C. Had to make up heavier battery cables to carry the amps needed.
Put an aluminium rub bar on the wall to protect the paint from the table.
Cut in the speakers for my stereo. Now I can listen to Dr J Vernon McGee through the bible when I am working.
Also my solar charge controller showed up and got wired in. I guess I have gone green.
Installed the mirror
Cleaned out the upper bunk. Trimmed the old roof skin back. Installed insulation and furring strips.
When I pulled the siding off of the camper the upper bunk sagged down. I liked how it hugged the roof line of the truck so I left it and just made the top straight. You can see how much it sagged down in this picture of the window. I will have to level the floor next.

Started on the paint grade cabinet doors. I cut all the styles then fit together the smallest door.
It became apparent that the styles would be to big for the smallest doors. So i ripped them all down to 1 1/2 inch from 2 1/2.
A very easy way to build paint grade doors is by using tempered hardboard. You cut the Tempered hardboard 1/8" over the size of the door styles. Then you just glue and pin nail the hardboard to the styles. Sand the hardboard down until it is flush with the side of the styles and paint. It helps to have a horizontal sander.

Mobileauto2000, I didn't know Dr. McGee was still around, or are you listening to tapes. Last time I heard him was the early 80's .

I am listening to recordings. He is still on the radio, reruns of course, He did die in the 80s. The way he teaches the complexity of the bible in a simple home spun way just clicks with me if you know what I mean.

Fixed and installed the porch light. I like the old fashion round fixture, It looks like what should be on a 1967 truck. Believe it or not this light was still working when I took it off.

Our 1960 vintage 220KAK 26' Box Van Trailer (Ammo Toter) has those old "bullet lights" for all the running and marker lights. A local truck parts house has a bunch of NOS red & yellow lenses and bases at very reasonable prices - I didn't see any clear lenses though.

Hey, love your build. Have been watching all that you are doing and it is helping me to build one too. I only have the walls up now, and plan on covering it with canvas this year. Question, where did you get those windows? I would love to have one on each side at least. Thanks.... J. Vernon McGee... there's a name I haven't heard in years. He was awesome.

All the windows came from the camper I originally had in the truck. You might think about buying a 100 dollar camper to get your appliances and windows. Feel free to post up some pictures here of your progress.

I paneled the ceiling in overhead bunk. Also insulated and installed furring strips on one wall.
I also primed all the doors, My wife then painted them.
I installed some of the doors. The center will be painted sea foam but for now they will be white as I have only one more weekend to prepare for our camping trip. So much to do so little time

Hey Mobileauto2000, where did you get those lights from in the above pictures? (5 lights) Are they 12v or 24v? Thanks.

On Ebay. They were the cheapest I could find. They have 12volt bulbs in them. For 24v you would only need to change the bulbs.
