Most of us with a M1008, esp... if it has been lifted will encounter the famouse death wobble.
If you have added bigger tires to your lift , this will also make the wobble more noticeable.
Some of the reasons this happens is due to the short steering shaft to gear box.
1: You need reinforce the steering gear box where it meets the frame.
The frame will crack where the steering gear box is attached.
2: The Kingpins need to be replaced since they were not made for oversized tires and the kingins will wear out fast esp... drivers side.
You may notice that on your over-sized tires, the front driver side tire will have the outside threads worn out but not the middle.
This is the Kingpins causing this problem.
3: If you have your truck lifted, go to a place that specializes in (off-road trucks) to do a front end alignment.
Most places are only in doing factory owned alignments and not specialty vehicles as lifted trucks.
