M101A1 trailer

Anyone converted the 5 lug nut wheels on an M101A1 to the 16" wheels with eight lugs. The axle conversion the only way?

The axle conversion is the only way and once I get some 8 lug wheels and tires, I'll be doing just that swap. Already have the axle.

The first picture is with the CUCV type rims and tires, The rest is the HMMWV old type rims and tires.
