M35a2 winch pin mod

Hello all and a happy new year from WI.
Has anyone drilled or reamed drive pin hole on a
winch to make the shear pin a standard size.

That was a great read it is always amazing to me the brain power
this site has. I thought that a 5/16 rod of alum was much more easy to buy than the o.e.m
pins. i thought it might be cheeper. but it looks like i might be able to buy pins for much less. thanks again for this info.
