I think I need to stop by on my way north from Glen's...I suppose by then though you won't be playing in the dirt anymore.

What is the combined GVW of the M920 and M870?
In NC the most is 80K with load unless you have an overweight permit.
:)
M916 Weight 27,500 lbs GVWR 56,000 lbs GCWR 106,000 lbs
M920 Weight 30,270 lbs GVWR 75,000 lbs GCWR 130,000 lbs

M870 GVWR 96,500 lbs Weight 16,500 lbs
M870A1 GVWR 99,000 lbs Weight 19,000 lbs

So what does that all mean?

M916 + M870A1 = 46,500 lbs empty, 59,500 lbs payload capacity

M920 + M870A1 = 49,270 lbs empty, 80,730 lbs payload capacity

Granted, this is "by the numbers" and the reality of how much weight the trucks/trailer can actually carry, what the laws are, permits, fed bridge formula, etc, will probably vary.

Doesn't the M916 have a GCWR of 130,000 lbs ?
M916A1/A2/A3 GVWR 68,000 lbs GCWR 130,000 lbs (-10 TM mentions 134,000 lbs GCWR with M870/A1/A2/A3 trailer)

In the Carolinas there are a number of those Gradalls left, but have wheels/tires for mobility- mostly for road crews digging out ditches as it moves down the road. I love that thing, being a tracked model! A rare piece of awesomeness
