Hello All,

I'm trying to verify that I have properly troubleshot my DC Charging System.

My measurements are:
Resistance Between Stator Leads (disconnected) - 0.9 Ω
Left hand lead to ground - OPEN
Right hand lead to ground - OPEN
Stator disconnected and engine running - 43.2 VAC
DC Voltage regulator red banded wire - 25.97 VDC
Batteries - 25.99VDC (13.14 VDC & 12.86VDC)
Stator connected and engine running - 2.215 VAC.

From the various threads on here and Smokstak I've read regarding this issue it's either a bad stator (yuck) or a bad DC VR ($$).

Can someone confirm one way or another? Are there any other reading at TB-6 I can take to verify/narrow it down?

At one point I'm fairly certain the charging system did work but I can't 100% confirm that.

Thank you all in advance.

I installed one of triplejims regulators on one of my 003a during an ice storm last winter. easy easy install perfect fit and perfect function. I liked it so much i got more and just replaced the originals on my other gens as a precautionary measure. the triplejim regulator doesn't boil my battery as much either.
