I noticed the forward u-joint on the rear drive shaft has no retaining clips or even a groove for a clip. Is this normal? It a also impossible to get apart...any tips guys?

Belive it or not, , there is a grove around the u joint cups and on the shaft where the cups go. The cups are held in place using a plastic ring. The aftermarket u joints have clips and you can get then with or without grease fittings. Hope this helps.

you have to heat up the yoke to melt the nylon that holds in the u joint. use a propane torch to heat it up and melt it out. After that just remove and install.

Ditto with the clips we had a vibration yesterday and found no retainer clips on the rear u joint causing it to vibrate. install clips and no more vibration
