The ferret is ok off road. I had mine out today to go do its spring cleaning. I figured that beigns I was gonna wash it anyhow, that I would take it on a little off road trip. I went down a closed road where they are doing some construction. There was quite a muddy section there for sure. Didnt look like anyone had driven through it, but I kept opn going. It went right through it, and threw mud everywhere! As far as climbing hills etc, its heavy, slow and first gear is pretty low. It will handle most you can throw at it.
