I am posting this for a friend and was not sure where to post it. Please move it to a more appropriate forum if needed.

He got a water at a flea market. On the top it has;

US
W
NESCO
1944

It has a clamp style lid with a cork gasket.

I can post pictures if needed, he just wants to know what it is worth. He is not sure he wants to sell it or keep it for a future project.

Thank you.

What if it had gas in it at some point in time?
Then it is useless for water, since you can never get it all out. Good for display or holding used oil or something.

Post war ones if they have had gas I never pay more than $5 for use as a waste oil container. WWII ones have more value as a display piece, but not more than $20 or so in my experience.
