I unsuccessfully tried to get mine off today. My motor is just noisy as all get out, and I suspect it's just like everyone else's, but I wanted to isolate it from the cage and hear it by itself before condemning it. This method was perfect except that I can't get the squirrel cage off the shaft. The allen screw is 100% removed. AND it's as frozen either way so I am about to cut the shaft off and get new parts. I was expecting a slide off, and it's frozen on there good. I tried kroil and heat to no avail. I did move it about 1/2, but I think I have about 3/8 of an inch to go (its now flush with the shaft retainer on the squirrel cage. Anyone got any suggestions? . I am not married to this so cutting is rising to the top...

I'm still trying to figure out how the studs and tiedown bracket are behind the face of the wheel. Are the wheels 3" thick in the middle? Or have a back side that bolts to the spindle, and a front side that we see?Their not hubcaps, their wheels I can assure you. The bolts are just for design, it is not a beadlock by any means. Not trying to pass them off as them.
Look up the wheels online (Black Rhino makes them).
Yup. $35 plus shipping for the aftermarket ones (Four Seasons 35552) is cheapest, some on there for like $80, supposedly these are way quieter.I think I've seen the fan units on the auction site for 25-30$.

Looks pretty darn good!!!My roof rack project is Slowly coming along. I should have this one buttoned up by the weekend. I still need to figure out a mount for my pioneer kit as well as my power lift jack. I’m also putting a little lockable storage up there.

They aren’t actually welded in yet. They are just sitting up there to see if the star looks cool or not. As unlucky as I am I can’t afford to have sharp stuff close by!Looks pretty darn good!!!
PS: The only thing that I noticed are the sharp corners on the triangle piece. Maybe round up the sharp corners??

Went to Black Rino web site. They look good could almost pass as the 24 bolt rims. Which ones are they 12 or 9.5 Armory. They appear to have less back spacing.2" spring + 2" body lift and 17x9.5 Black Rhino wheels on 40x13.5x17 Cooper Discovery STT Pros.

A wheel adaptor from the eight studs that the Humvee has down to five or six that those wheels may have might account for what you are thinking about.I'm still trying to figure out how the studs and tiedown bracket are behind the face of the wheel.
