What all do I need to put a NP205 in my 1009? Want to twin stick.

400/205 adapter, GM np205, take the rails out & grind them for twin stick, twin stick shifters, drive shaft

From the mid 80s the NP205 had a round pattern. If you can find one of these you can likely bolt it right onto your existing adapter. You will be sacrificing the 2.61 low range of the 208. No big deal if you never wheel the truck.

With 3.08 gears and a low of 2.00 on the 205 a vw bug could out wheel you...

Thanks for the input guys.Long term plans are turbo motor,upgrade axles to 30 spline,detroit locker in rear,posi in front and either 342 or 373 gears,might just stick with the 208.
