from what I have found the curb weight on the M880 is 5,900 lbs. the GVW is 8,800lbs. I am not sure if these figures are correct, But if they are I think if you subtract the two you should have your answer..... 2,9000 lbs,

That's different than towing weight. All the GVWR figure represents is max passengers, max fuel, and max payload in the bed. Although often you find that you can't get all 3 maxed and be under the GVWR.
I think the tongue weight might figure in too but not sure.
