The new drop-down menues don't work, my puter is missing a module somewhere and I'm wondering if a kind soul could provide me with an old-fashioned link to it, please.

bjorn, what version of internet explorer do you have?
you must have javascript blocked, mike or i will have to help you change the setting.

It's IE 6.0, but it doesn't install correctly, I have tried several times, it installs, but with some sections incomplete.
Some time before X-mas, I reformatted the hard drive (twice, actually), installed the ME edition and still couldn't get IE to install correctly.
Another, probably realted, problem is that the mapquest map doesn't show up. Most everything else works, so I'm not too concerened.
I have the java installed, where do I enable it?

try installing firefox, it might work better for you.
its not java itself, its javascript. its in the security settings tab, change it to "medium-low" and you should be good.
