Turbo Problems

Not too long ago someone posted that they were having problems with their newly aquired m35a2. That they were having a problem with oil blowing out the stack. Well I ran into the same problem recently. I called a turbo expert from Pro-Diesel of KC. The advice he gave me pretty much baffled my mind. He asked if my truck had been idling a lot. It had been. He told me just to go out and drive it, that some seal had come loose and that driving it would tighten it right up. I had my doubts, but this guy is never wrong. So I took it out, it was blowing oil like crazy...then it just stopped (the oil). That was a week ago, the turbo has been fine since. So if whoever posted that problem is still lurking on this forum, maybe this will work for you too.

How long did you run it before it stopped? I blew the turbo on mine leaving the DRMO yard. I'm sure it's a bad seal, but I sucked 2 gallons of oil out in about a mile. I was scared to flog it to bad.

Maybe I should throw more oil into it and try again.

if you used that much fuel
and its blowing a white or gray smoke
and banging i would look at the injectors
sounds like you lost a injetor tip

Outlaw, I typed diesel but I meant oil. Sorry for the confusion! I edited the post. I topped it off before I left the DRMO and by the time I went about a mile to get it topped off again it took 2 gallons of oil.
