Electrical wiring harness equivalent wire?

I have a short in the wiring harness of my M151A2. I need to bypass it with some other wire. I have the connectors, but I need a recommendation on the type and size of wire to use (also where I can get it if not common), especially wire that works with the waterproof connectors.

14 ga. for 24 volt systems is MV standard unless it's a power cable. The mil. spec. wire is available, but auto supply 14 ga. black oughta blend right in.
