<font color="green">[3]<font face="Comic Sans MS">Hey Brad900, Nice looking truck! Where did it come from? My M756A2 has the identical markings on the doors. Just for kicks, have you sanded down to the door numbers to see what they are yet? My 756 came from Biloxi MS. Attached is a pic of the door emblem after sanding.</font id="Comic Sans MS">[/3]</font id="green">

Check out the rubber guys! Pretty cool! Big Mike, lots of Navy trucks have them welded to the bumper. I've been told what they are all about but dang if I can remember. I'm sure it's something to do with the way the sailors lift stuff. Also, can anybody comment on what color that might be? It's darker than the "383" green!

Recovry4x4. I got it from portsmouth,va. The numbers on the tail are 96-39252(the # on the doors look the same,I have not sanded it) I don't know how to find out where it's from, if you can tell me that would be great.

Desert Rat. I just picked up the trailer 3 weeks ago here at Fort Gillem in Atlanta. The tires are mint, even have USN stamped on them.
The bad thing is they are 1/2" smaller than the standard tires so my speedo is off by about 5mph.She runs great, handheld gps shows 63mph on flat highway & 55mph on slight hill, of course about 45 on long hill.

By the way, this is a great board to be apart of, I'm glad I found it.<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_thumzup.gif" alt="Thumb Up">

Glad your here Brad900! I'm still in the research mode on the number from my truck. I've been on touch with a retired Seabee who is helping me. I'll share my findings with you and the forum for sure! <font color="blue">"We Build, We Fight" </font id="blue">Go Seabees!

Big Mike,
I was told that certain trucks are heavily loaded when lifted and transferred onto a ship and that the stock lifting shackles break, so these special lifting loops were added. This makes sense and I've had several Navy trucks come in that had the loops on them.

Hey Mighty Joe, have you ever seen a winch truck with these loops added? My 756 doesn't have them but of all the trucks I've seen, don't recall seeing a winch truck with them. Anybody else seen these loops on a winch truck?

Kenny,
I think that I've only seen them on non-winch trucks, but later today I'll look in my puter pic archives and see if I did have one.
