Cool Dome Light Trick

I needed a dome light in the cab and in the back of the truck, for the partyin' passengers and for diggin' in the cooler, etc. I also wanted a work light that I could move around to shed light anywhere on or around the truck.
I started with the idea of pullin' off of one battery with 12 volts, to a fuse block, to switches, to fixtures, etc. I start lookin' over the truck, figuring out how to route and locate all this. It looked like alot of work, and I wasn't too hip on molesting the truck with screws and drill bits.
While standing in line with a basket full of the stuff to do it, ready to spend about 70 bucks, I noticed two cammo headband type flashlights on the rack. That's it! I put all the work nonsense back, and purchased the two cammo headband type flashlights. I put one on the ragtop support bar, and one on the center bow. I used the existing headband to wrap the flashlight part around itself, and the bow/support bar, and viola!
Installation time: 30 seconds. No parts, wire, screws, fuseblock, drilling, bolting, etc, and if I need light to work on something, I can just remove one, strap it to my noodle, and go to work on the job at hand. The truck remains un-molested.
Not only is the cammo cool, but they have the red light feature as well as bright white. Very authentic.
Laziness inspires brilliance once again! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_approve.gif" alt="Approve">

Haha, I always thought the headlight deal was kinda corny. That was until the LEDs came out! I have a cool Rayovac one that has the Xenon bulb for lots of light, the red led for night vision preservation and the white LED for working. I must admit, I use this thing a bunch. Never sat it down during our 2 weeks without electricity after the hurricane. Too Cool!
