what I'm looking for is pictures or information on the standard method of vehicle loading into a deuce. Some sort of ramps? I want to make some styled like the originals (mostly because I know it would work then) to load my t-bucket in th bed. It's small enough it should fit with adequate room. I was thinking of putting heavy angle in the corners of the bed and running a reinforcing bar across the bottom with anchor points, and probably using some come-alongs so I don't have to rig any power up to a winch. Not sure I'd want to attempt driving it up into the bed!

My MOS was 64C20/30 wheel vehicle operator,I think what they called it,and they never said anything about hauling any Jeepes in the back of a Deuce just regular cargo stuff. Must be some guys that have invented some type of ramps maybe? The same idea has crossed my mind before, especially when I drove my little Nissan p/u to purchase my Deuce, I could have hauled it back. The things are so high off the ground, It would be neat if you could find a loading dock that was just right, at both destinations.<img src="emoticons/icon_smile_approve.gif" alt="Approve">

Thats funny. I was at one point going to drive my deuce tractor to OH to pick up an M139 chassis bridge truck. I was going to put the deuce tractor in the bed. It was then that I figured that the cost of fuel home would far outcost the price of the bridge truck. Just so one knows, most of the gas ones have 10.26 to 1 axle gearing. Might get a mile to the gallon with good breeze behind. Nasty cool trucks though! Would love to find one close by!
