west coast deuce offerings

in my quest for the deuce, west coast offerings are slim to nil. Am I missing any perhaps? I want to avoid auctions from the stories I've heard, and have seen quite a few private sales but (honestly, that's what it comes down to) the prices don't really match the trucks I've seen.

I've been talking to two people back east- Eastern Surplus and Joe Young. They have what I am looking for but it's 2700 miles away! 64 hours straight (that's if I swap off with my bro for driving and stopping for gas and quick meals) doesn't sound too appealing, and shipping costs run pretty high.

Are there any west coast dealers with as good a reputation? Any surplus dealers that maybe sometimes get a deuce?

At first glance, the price of shipping a Deuce, v.s. driving 2700 miles <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_reyes.gif" alt="Reyes"> may seem steep!

If you consider the wear and tear on the truck, it isn't worth it!

There is a guy who just drove 3000 miles in a Deuce that had Super Singles AND lock out hubs!

He went through a set of tires, and just about everything that had a gasket or a seal is now leaking!

I have seen a good number of trucks for sale in Kalifornia! <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_warn.gif" alt="Warning!"> Keep looking!

Idaho Motor Pool: Looks like they're located just over the border from Ontario Oregon, near Boise Idaho. Sounds like a lot better option for you Monster Man.

I'm looking into that for sure. 421 miles away is a little better Looks like they have a large selection of clean trucks too. Anybody bought a deuce from them and were you satisfied? How long have they been around? After sale support?

Nothing personal, I just like to research all options to the fullest on such a large purchase thanks!

421 miles from Reno to Fruitland. That's a slight improvement on 2700 miles. <img src="emoticons/icon_smile_approve.gif" alt="Approve">
