Found this guys M1009 on youtube.

Thought you guys might enjoy some of the mods he has done.

Very nice rig!

Although he does say, "It was never molested by the military", but I'll give him a pass. Sounds like a civilian.

I would like to see how he built the winch, thanks for the video
If you go to 1:57 in the video he shows the set up. It looks like he wielded up a base for the winch and added two adapters to mount it on the existing tie downs. I really like that he moved the D-Rings to the front of the winch base.

I’m sold on this idea.

Especially since it can be removed and installed on the back of the vehicle, will more than pay for itself someday.

Wish he would have explained how he powered the winch on the tail. In my M715, I ran heavy cables to the rear, same with my M1008 when I put a rear winch under the box. I used a 10,000 ARB (Warn) on my Kaiser in the rear. 8,000 winches on the M-1008. Maybe he just used welding leads or a heavy set of jumper cables instead of something permanent, possibly that accessory battery? Interesting truck, looks like he enjoys it.
