M1031 will not start

its a 86 17k on it. did run and drive.. drove it to where it is now... now all i get is dim lights. not even enough power to crank it. batteries just started a big block ford.


so any idea?? not sure where to start thanks

All of the above are good suggestions. One more is to check and clean and tighten all of the battery connections. Even when they seem tight they can have corrosion and gunk keeping the current from flowing to the battery. I had this happen to mine just a couple of weeks ago. After removing the battery clamps and brushing off both the clamps and battery posts and re-securing everything the truck fired right up.

light were really dim again. didnt crank but seems to drain the batteries right down. cables and good and clean. no power to the starter.

any other ideas?
