How bad do the Willies roll?

How easy do these jeeps roll on and off road? Look like good trail vehicles but affraid it would role way to easy.

The willies MB series flat fenders are stable for thier size. I have rolled an early Bronco a few times because I was being dumb and I knew I could make it up that rock wall. So if you are worried about rolling it over get a good cage made and then it doesn't matter. Clean out yuor drawers after the first roll over and keep going. The flat fenders in stock form really should only run a 33 inch tire anyway. So just chose your lines carefully and go easy you'll do fine.

They did make them to travel moderatly faster than the cargo trucks, but their deffinatly not a speed racer. I'v had one up on two wheels on an off camber left hander, probably another foot up and it would have rolled. But then we shouldnt have been hill climbing in the Jeep, but it was the CO's driver and myself, the mailman, and we usually had plenty of free time between formations.

A Willy's Jeep is a very stable platform, of course u could roll one, these are tactical vehicles, not highway racers, the MUTT or M151 had the talked about roll over problem , because of the independent suspension, a long story, it was redesigned , and was better, BUT i will say driver error is the culprit here for sure, For those not in the know, it is understandable people think all Miliary Jeeps roll, u need to do alot of homework, What Willys are U talking about, a flat fender ? lets get confusing, the Willys Quad was there first offering,But none of these are known to exist, there is the MA,U will probably never find one of these. and the MB, these are WW2 vehicles. now production waits untill Korea, and there is the last flat fender the MC or M38...then the MD or M38A1 the first round fender and the father of the CJ 5. ..Then the Military went to a newer type of recon vehicle a MUTT or m 151 vehicle Willy's made some of these and ford made the first contract, then Willy's and then Kieser, that was Willys before a take over.... there are 3 varients or the Mutt, U sure can roll one of these easier than the earlier Jeeps, But i am a jeep freak and a MUTT is not a Jeep, Now anyone can call it what they wantm heck the Navy called escort Aircraft carriers jeeps, in WW2...This is such a big can of worms it is actually funny...Most say they heard MUTTs called Jeeps there fore they are, well only to them, but that is fine. I have had many Jeeps , the first vehicle I ever drove was one, and i have had at least one in the stable for 37 years, I have run competions in mud and other things, i have wheeled em everywhere one could, in all weather and conditions, they..Jeeps are a very stable vehicle....MUTTs are a different story, but that really is up to the driver......they are also fine, sadley, some people just do not know how to drive such a vehicle, but it is not and never has been the vehicle...randy
