Question regarding Vented Windshileds

Was there ever a vented windshield built for the CJ5, CJ6 or
170?

There are alot of civy Jeep sites that handle civy jeeps. U will find alot of guys here are experts though on alot of different stuff, maybe u are interested in if the Military Jeeps ever had a vented windshield that I would answer. ...

The Jeep I am looking at buying is a M170 in Michigan, So I used the CJ and a reference points. If I have offended you or your fellow Military aficionados I did not mean to do so.

The M170 I am looking at does not currenlty have such a Vented winscreen, for that matter any windscreen.

Tanks for the info, is there a lot of cf resources for new old body steel for the aged Jeep, or are people getting by by making there own pieces or salving the unserviceable units?

One more question I want the color to be original, where is a good resource for finding the right paint, I am not too worried about it being a 100% original,but outward appearance would be ideal.

Your M170 is basically an M38A1 with a longer w/b and tub, only around 4000 or so were made. It would be good for the hobby if you tried to keep it as close to original as possible. You can find repair panels at a few vendors that specialize in the M38/M38A1. Vietnam era OD looks very good on those trucks.
