We took the deuce to the tree farm today to get out family christmas tree (cathedral cieling in the living room, 10' trees every year )

Getting there requires summiting Pine Grove Mountain, 1000-1200 ft. climb, 8% grade both sides. Deuce' was happy going up in 3rd gear, 4th gear causes some pretty bad bog, down to 1K RPM's, then crawled down the other side in 2nd humming like a freight locomotive

Talk about military precision, we were in and out of the farm in 5 minutes with our tree. Chainsaws are wonderful things, and it helped that the tree we wanted was right off one of the dirt roads inside, not 2 or 3 deep, but RIGHT on the road. All we had to do was drop the gate and pull it into the bed.

The hard part was finding enough real estate to pull a 3 point turn to get back out, we've had a rainy, miserable winter so far, so there was mud aplenty, but that didn't stop us, we just drove right in leaving all the yuppies in thier SUV's stranded at the gate :D

As usual, the deuce' was a real crowd pleaser, everyone there, especaily the kids, were doing double-takes.

Also found out we need a new J-pipe, the old one finaly rusted though, but, small potatoes.

Merry Xmas guys
