That's so us old farts can get out from underneath the beast, when we are done working on it!

That's for when you have a flat and no jack handy!

Seriously, the only thing I have ever seen them used for is a spot to chain one down to a railcar or container. I have a piece of chain hanging from from one of mine right now. The handle is run through the link and bolted on

I still like my answer the best!

I think of them as "love handles"!

I just "love" crawling under my Deuce!

I like the little handles. They're great for all kinds of things. I have several up & down the side of my car trailer. They make nice handles when you hack a deuce frame to bits and need to move it around. I'll bet they served a purpose on the production line too.

I don't understand. Why would anyone need to climb under the deuce? There's nothing under there. Stay in the cab and just drive it.

I such a kidder. Most of the time with the deuce is spent under it or on it, rather than in it.

Thanks for the post too, I was wondering about those handles too.

man, I guess I've just been lucky, the only time I've spent under there was taking off my driveshaft and troubleshooting my brake light switch. Well, and draining the tanks if that counts Gotten almost 2,000 extremely fun and mostly trouble free miles out of it so far

Monster Man!

I can save you one trip under the Deuce!

There is a kit with long cables and new valves that allows you to drain the air tanks without crawling under the Deuce!

Do you want to guess where you can get one?

Yep, it is our sponsor, Saturn Surplus!
