I have a 1973 5 ton dump truck with an LDS-465-1A Multi fuel engine, my first MV and first truck.

Truck has been irregularly used over the last 10 years, but always on road diesel. Did not drive for over a year, tanks almost empty, maybe with water.

I am definetly going to replace the primary and secondary fuel filters before even starting the thing, maybe also drain the fuel tanks.

What about the final fuel filter. Maintenance manual says it should only be replaced when doing an engine overhaul.

In my case, should I replace it as well? Certain tell-tale criteria to look for or just replace this filter as well.
