Stats Vs Speed

In my efforts to make the site move faster and faster, I learned that the "Stats" section is not suggested to use, as it creates more drag on the site.

My question is... keep it, as you like it, or trash it in favor of hopeful speed gains??

I enjoy the stats but not enough to live with slow loading & reloading.
