Which Serial # for M105 Restoration?

I'd like to order stencils for restoring my M105 to its original 1967 glory but I'm confused about the serial number. On the data plate the serial number's second character has a dash, but instead of a dash the Army painted on a "S"

Which second character should be painted on for a 1967 restoration? Please see the attached pic.

I should probably check my "saved photos" before I post these questions. Looking at this M105 bed, which appears to be in the same serial number range, there might be a third option of omitting the second character altogether.

Still curious what other SS members know or think. Thanks!
