Just wondering how many people m35a2 owners are in the Northeast and where they purchased their MV. I was going to purchase one awhile ago, but I'm finally getting around to it now.

Also, if anyone is looking for a CUCV, someone in my town is selling one that is in good shape. Can get more info or pics if requested.

i bought mine at Kublo's Surplus. Ken is real good to work with. He has a bunch of trucks to pick from which is nice. last i checked, i think a deuce without a winch is $4200. His number is 570-663-2805.

Not really North East but rather Mid-Atlantic. Bought ours from a private sale. Found on Craigs list. With winch, spare engine, trans and transfer case. Drove it home 150 miles from North of Baltimore.
If your mechanically inclined, private sale might be cheapest.

Got mine from GL at Ft. Campbell in Tennessee where my brother was. Its been a lot of work, both time and money to fix her up, but I've enjoyed the experience. I paid $1700 initially, its probably triple that now.

Prices have gone up a lot for deuces lately. I got mine from a friend, but my dad's gotten all of his from GL. Private-sellers can be either really competent or complete idiots, but it's usually obvious when you talk about a few maintainace items.

A good seller will tell you what's good, what's very good & what's bad or will need attention. Better for someone to tell you what gauges/senders/fluids, etc got replaced than to say "everything works." My dad uses a handheld labelmaker to print "Filter changed at X miles/hours" on the filter housing, where it can be seen easily. :driver:

I bought my M35 from SS member Maddawg308 in VA.

I think you should just make a day trip to Kublos, about 5hrs from you. You might return with a truck, or your wallet, but probably not both.

I just called Kublo's Surplus on Friday. He has about 150 or so instock.

Trucks are $4500

Winch $850 extra

Hard top $500 extra

When im ready, Im going to Ken to purchase one. One of the nicest guys Ive ever talked to, especially in the used vehicle market.
