Got my approval today for an 11/29 auction USMC HMMWV. Awesome turnaround. Good work GP!
Wow...I have not heard anything. The M1045A2 I got from Yermo (USMC) of which the EUC was submitted on the 9th of November has not yet been cleared. I have purchased 13 HMMWV's from GovPlanet since Jan 2017, I work for the DOD, sent a pic of my DL card and DOD card along with my EUC and it has still not cleared. My turn-around for non USMC HMMWV's runs between 8 and 15 working days. I know EUC has to clear the USMC....and that takes some time, but now I am thinking there may be some issue. Also, does anyone know if they are still making us fill out and send in the Hold Harmless Agreements? I didn't get the option to fill one out on thius last auction.

Yeah, I also noticed that no hold harmless agreement was required. Truck was picked up yesterday and is on its way to Texas as we speak. I also confirmed with GP that because this is a USMC truck the SF97 will NOT have an off-road only stamp.

I got an email from GP Thursday about needing a copy of my drivers license if I wanted just a title on the truck I got back in September. If tags & other registration are necessary, it would be more money thru them before the documents are completed & delivered as they are a Florida dealer now! All I want is the title for now, but it seems like the processing of documents are slowly moving forward.

When did you purchase your USMC HMMWV? Trying to get a sense on how long I have to wait.

Unfortunately I did not. I am still in EUC jail.

Happy New Year to Everybody on the Forum!

And after taking my paperwork to the Missouri DMV provided from Iron Planet, the dated letter was enough to keep from getting any additional fees applied.

New title process went easy as can be. New title from Mo. State received in mail, and will apply for historic plates next year.

Thank You again PHasty for the continued information that is posted on Steel Soldiers to help with members staying current on up to date information.

For those tracking ....

Purchased HMMWV on 12 Sep 17

EUC arrive 05 Dec (first time buyer)

HMMWV picked up 07 Dec

SF97 email arrived today (The Title certificate for your recently purchased 1986 AM General M998 HMMWV 2 Door Soft Top w/Truck Body has been sent out by Fed-Ex Ground).

Called Florida DMV today, talked to a very nice lady who made me an appointment to get inspected for the "Former Military" Title/Registration, she told me I'd get my plate same day as inspection. She even sent me an email to take to County Tax office to get a Temporary Permit to drive it to the inspection station. So far the system is working. I hope to get all this handled by the middle of next week.

Just out of curiosity where are you getting it inspected and what DMV region are you in?

I'm in the Palm Beach Region, I think I saw Palm Beach as region 9. From the conversation I gathered that the "inspection" would be done right at the office. Lady I spoke with said she had done 1 before, I mentioned SF97 and she did not hesitate, all she wanted to know was if I had insurance (which I do), so finger crossed it'll be done next week. Only catch is I may have to go out of town for 2 weeks early next week, if so I'll postpone the appointment.

I'll post the outcome after it's all done.

Cool. I in region 4. Told to trailer my Humvee to the inspection. Nice to know that somebody is actually helpful.

The nice lady at the DMV sent me an email and if I remember right she said to take that to the tax collectors office and get a temporary tag then I could drive the HMMWV to the Regional DMV office for the "inspection" which I suspect will be just a visual to make sure it represents a military vehicle, she's 3 color camo, can't get much more Military looking than that, I have not done any mods to the appearance, no new seats, no radio, no fuzzy dice.

Good luck on the trailer, or maybe call and ask if you could get a temporary tag ?
