Both, Deuce mostly. I sold my pickup eventually will have another one for towing the 105. I also have a m1101. Its so pretty I dont want to mess it up though.

could I get a 5k dexter axle and spring under with the stock springs?
You would have to find one that is the exact width for the wheel face and the spring center line. Doing that may allow you to break the spring pack apart and remove some of the springs too.

I finally bought another m105 im going to attempt this with.. unfortuneatly it has 1100x20 tires.. Ill swap to smaller ones. Or possibly remove drums to clear isuzu 16 inch wheels.
They say the 16.5 bolster wheels (also M1061) will fit, but I have not tried it yet. Maybe the 16" Isuzu will fit without removing the drums. Please let us know (pictures).
I'm working on the possibility to use M35A3 wheels and 14.5 tires on a 105. It would appear to work with the dish in but I'm thinking of machining the outer flange off to make it dish out (no "flipping the hubs" like the back of a deuce).
Note the dual above is 8' 9"....so 3" beyond the legal limit of 8'6".
On the above frame the tongue was repurposed, leaving the axle section. It's springs are going to my deuce 4x4 project. I too am in the market for another 105 but haven't made a deal yet.

I have some isuzu wheels with an all terrain type heavy duty tire. Im picking the trailer up friday.. one of the parking brakes are stuck hopefully its nothing a sawzall and a sledge hammer cant fix.

Yes 6 lug they are dual
If you use the duals, they will end up about the same as the ones above...over width. We could compare the rims from the mount face to the outside of the tire and know for sure. I just measured my overall width yesterday (again). If you are 1.5" less, you may have it made re legal width!
Edit; I measured 11.25" from the mount face to the outside of the tire. If you are less and have the same bolt pattern, you may have found a reasonable alternative for lower and duals...that's cool.

Sorry I meant the wheels are from a dually. I'm only going to use one on each side.
Would you mind measuring one of them please from the face to the tire outside. I'm wanting to know if they would work dual on a 105 as an alternative to being over-width with the 9.00's pictured above. I didn't know they were the right 6 lug pattern and in reading many posts have not seen them mentioned.

Im not 100 percent they will work. I get the trailer friday. Im debating on taking the tires with me to swap or do it when i get home. My poor nissan xterra is going to hate me. Ill get a picture as quick as i get back to the shop.

I remember reading a 16 inch wheel wouldnt fit with the drum on. Im only going to use this trailer around my property for firewood. Its really rusty and pretty much worthless. Im going to removed drums shoes air lines landing gear. Pretty much everything it doesnt need.
Yea, I understand about removing all the brakes. You may have to to get it home.

Do you have the Isuzu wheels and tires available that you propose (using single)? I've been advertising, wanting bolster wheels and tires and could consider the Isuzu as an alternative if they are 10" or less and can be used dual. Please measure one if it is available!

Does any one know where I can get spring hangers or shackles for my M105 trailer? Left u bolt is broke. The one that holds spring on axle . It is on my bob m35a3 .Used as the bed don't think they used right spring and shackle set .
You wanted an M105 U bolt....do you still need it? I'm about to take mine apart and will cut it if you don't need it.

The tongue on that trailer is very poorly designed. A tongue should extend under the frame of a trailer to take the direct stresses off the welds......which are now being transfered directly to a butt joint forward of the frontmost cross member.
Don't hate the messenger.
Pictures were before it was completed. I added a frame member to that joint, 1/2" by 3" x 24" CR flat on the underside (on edge), tying the A to the outer tube frame that mounts the axles... so is more than only the butt joint.
I had added that part and a couple of cross members tacked in and went away on business. A friend that saw it under construction bought it while I was gone (it was not for sale but he needed it). He stressed that he would complete the weld out...which he did. He bought it to haul firewood out of his woods, finished welding it out and never once has complained of it failing.
