Thanks for the flowers .lol And yes i thought about it alot at first and kept going back to all the framework on a 1083 and the as stout as it is i decided to just weld the box from one end to the other solid on both sides and really concentrate on the front 2 corner beams of the box to the airlift cross beam and weld the sheat out of that inside out to where i think you could pick the whole truck off the ground with one of the big caterpillar container handlers .So if it twist much it got to tear alot of welding loose and its not like im going to do rock crawls in the mountains of utah like the jeeps do . These axles have so much travel to them as it is im going to be trying not to turn it over instead of it tweeking a little and its going to be able to go places most vehicle cant go anyway so for getting off the grid i think it will work if it gets rougher than where i want to go its going to be yellow and have tracks on it ! Im fixing to start building a extended tounge 1082 with a dovetail and put a cj-5 jeep on it to run get supplys or chase parts ect. once the truck is set up as base camp and to look around a little easier and cheaper . So theres 100 ways to build these things just build yours for what you need it to do and where its really going to operate and the only one you have to make happy is YOU !!!!! Thanks your truck is the beacon im just trying to paddle that direction and yes your trailer is what im copying for my truck . I finally got all the tvs mounted in mine today the final thing is mount a mini split back in the garage doors in the rear and a tile backsplash then start on the trailer ! Your build has kept me plugging away and thanks again.

Im clueless on the older military jeeps as far as what model number they were but my question is are they street leagal pretty much every where youve taken yours? Ive not pulled the trigger on which jeep i want to get for my 1082 any suggestions?

My friends grandmother was Normans wifes sister and they talked on the phone every day so he got Norman to autograph the picture to me . And the other picture signed by Carlos Hathcock another good man Norm Chandler ( Iron Brigade Armory } (Death From Afar } marine corp sniping got for me . I thought i better have a BAD ASS Army fella and a BADASS Marine in a crowd like SteelSoldiers to keep the peace .
