Hi, I searched but couldn't find a pic thread. I'm looking for pics (i.e. inspiration) for m1008's with small lifts (0-4") and larger tires ( 36"+). I'll be buying a m1008 as soon as I get my Obama bucks for buying a new house.

Thanks guys, and great site. BTW.

I will be putting 33's on my 1028 in the next few weeks. I think a 1-2" lift will be all it takes. I'll get some pics when complete.

Super lift sales add a leaf for under 100 dollars . I think it is a 2 inch lift.
But realy I think you can put 33 inch tires with no lift at all.

On stock wheel you can, I agree. But not on a 10" wheel, which is what a 13.5" wide tire needs.

I would love to put HUMVEE tires on my 1031 but I am afraid that it will make getting into the top boxes a hassle. Anyone every done it?

5" lift on the front (4" HD springs, 1" zero rate, axle moved 1.5" forward)
3" lift rear (3" block)
11.00R-16 Michelin XZLs
16x8 Rock Crawler rims 4.25" backspacing
minor fender trimming

I need to take more pictures...but those show everything pretty good. Rides great, flexes pretty good for a 1-ton truck, and it sits level just how I like it.

I shackle flipped the rear but removed 4 leaves from the pack on the 1028 in my avatar then put some old 4" ranchos in the front. I think it netted about 3.5" on each end. Running 37-12.5-17 MT I can still get the fronts into the back of the front fenders even after heavy trimming @ full stuff. I will lower my bump stops a couple inches & that should take care of it.

If you guys are having problems with the tires getting into the rear of the front fenders, throw a zero rate in there and move the axle forward. It'll probably solve your problems and it'll add an extra inch of altitude up front. Also, if you ask me, it looks more normal after you move the axle forward some and improves approach angles [thumbzup]

Right now bumps will do the trick and I'm as high as I want to go. I will probably redo the front one of these days and go with 52s so when I hang them I'll move foreward 1"

I have 11.00R16 Michelin XL's (38x11ishR16's) on stock GMC 2007 16" steel wheels with 1" of front lift via ORD Zero Rates and fender cutting and trimming. Works well but I am going to relocate the front axle an inch or so forward.

No, they don't.
