Well over night mines at 0, because I drain the tanks like one should.

Now onto your problem, you need to know where its leaking before someone can tell you how to fix it. pump it up and get a bottle of soapy water and start spraying every connection.

Hahahahaha...right? :ditto:

Is this really a problem? Does it lose air while driving? I mean, if your compressor disengages at some point, and doesn't turn on unless you are actually USING air, I don't see the big deal if it gets down to 30 psi if sitting overnight...everything isn't THAT airtight on these trucks to begin with..

you have 3 deuces and dont know how to drain the air tanks? Smokes.. I am glad your 1000 miles away from me.

Mine if I let it sit over night is at 0 PSI even if I dont drain the tanks. you should be running 100-120 PSI when the engine is running/driving down the road. if not its not a leak if you still have pressure over night, it is a governor problem.

If your truck only goes down to 30psi overnight I'd say your truck holds air better than 99% of the other trucks out there. These trucks leak air. The amount of leak you describe is well below the minimum leak down standards in the DOT laws.

I hate to say this but you really need to read the TM on the proper operation and daily maintenance of your truck. ;-)

I wouldn't worry about it. As others have said, these trucks leak air. That slow of a leak isn't going to cause any problems when you're driving down the road.

For ease of draining the tanks, you can install a remote valve. It's basically a valve that's normally closed with a string or wire on the end of it. Threads right onto the tank. To open the valve, you just pull pressure on the string. You need two, but they are cheap and well worth the money.

You need to drain the tanks after use because air compressors collect water from the air. The more water in the tank, the less volume for air you have.
