Blown engine. Yeah it was fun, but time to move on.

This morning while hauling a load of blocked firewood home, my big, ugly, beautiful truck went out with a bang and a 4 inch hole in the lower front end of the block. This is hard to swallow with as much as I, like so many of us have, have put into my truck both in time and ideas, but I am going to walk away from the brute. With that said, I do not want to ruffle any feathers of the powers that be, but all of my truck parts are available. I have a 1971 with winch and it has kind of unique to deuces not modified 6 not super singles, yet 6 single road tread tires (11.00x46 I believe, sorry it has been a rough day). Not trying to sound like an classified advertisement here and not trying to get big money out of any of this stuff; just thinking maybe if anyone out there wants some inexpensive replacement, or extra on-hand, or in the case of the winch assembly "add to" parts my loss can benefit you and one less item gets to go to scrap. I will be patient if I know there is serious interest for any part so reply or PM me if you would like more information.

So, you don't want to repair it? What other kind of truck do you think you will replace it with?

Wow, that stinks. There are a number of engines out there. You should track down a LDS465 and put in it. Fix it and gain the extra power.

Selling her whole was my message to him too, I think he is teasing us... We picked up a couple of rough looking deuces that may have new engines. I would like to save his if it is decent. Glen

I have seen the WW lately, was thinking of With Winch, but did not seem to make sense.Wrecked Wrecker, learn a new thing everyday. Ron is your wrecker fixable?Money is tight now for most.Good luck but I would save money till I could fix the blown engine and the wrecker.

clarification-
didnt mean this fellow in particular......the general statement - was what I was referring to

I cant believe what people will pay for old - sight unseen trucks that have statements like "unknown running condition" attached to them

I was hot on that 1994 Ford FT900 at Dayton yesterday - until I saw it going past $13K
