I think you would be better off going with the 395s(46s). I have driven an A3 cargo with them, it drives well and it just "looks better". There is just SO MUCH work to do to get 53s to fit, what a pita.

so your the posting police and the welcoming committee too? if you dont have something nice to say why dont you keep your fingers off the keyboard and just move along to actually contribute something elsewhere.

Can I play too?

Everyone here that comes in and tells someone else, "hey, why dont you mind your own business" or "cant you just ignore the post if you dont like it", needs to remember that they them selves are just as guilty. If you dont like it, just ignore it and just move on.
Does that make sense?

I bet the poster doesnt like what you say either,

why dont you go block yourself?

Terry

Coolcars101, let the OP speak for himself.

juspar, 53's won't fit a deuce with the stock tandem axles in the back, you would have to cut the dog bones and spread the axles apart. Like others have said, it would be a real dog all by itself, you load it down and put a trailer on it and I doubt you could make it thru an intersection before the light turned red on you.

My a2 has 46's on it and it fills it out nice. I have towed another m35 with it and it still had "good" power. I would think an a3 would have more power though.

I do agree, i has been covered a fair bit on here though.

The funny thing is this is one of the only places were one can get any info on these or other surplus trucks. And yet it is one of the most hostile places to ask a ?. Most other sites people get on and try to help there buds and fellow builders but man this site just seems like there just looking for a fight or trying to feel important by being a ass. Not all are includded thanks for your help.

It is incumbant upon leaders to point out bad behavior whenever possible.

I have seen and spoken to new members that have been run off by by comments and actions of a few individuals. new members are very important to any organization bringing with them new enthusiasm and ideas to help the hobby grow. 2cents we should encourage new members and directed them without turning them off to the site.

Not jumping into this, But 101, if you know alot of new-b's, Could you kindly ask them to come of with something new and interesting to read about on here? I am not gonna lie, I feel it has been very boring reading on here lately. Thanks.

You'll have internet tuff guys no matter where you go. In asking for help, you can expect some answers you don't like. You can dwell on the bad or look at the helpful. I wouldn't let my feelings get hurt so easy.

I have a side business with MV's, I have sold dozens of cucv's, I offer a SS discount and refer them to this site for the fun of it, several of my customers have expressed that they didnt like the snappy comments they got or read that others got when posting. two susch instances just happened within the last two days. With new members will come some "dumb" questions, but with proper encouragement these member may grow to be productive participants to the site.

To the original poster, dont be discouraged, i feel your pain when searching, it doesnt seem like it works all the great for me either...

Dont worry not going to cry myself to sleep tonight over asking a ? Try a new auto sport like rock crawling then you can be the new-bee. Lots to learn and read about. Hope you dont get shot down if you ask the wrong ?

Whats everyone fails to realize is this is really just a test to new members. Ask a newbie question and see what happens. If you can handle the replies (even the one you dont like) and just let it roll off like water off a ducks back, you'll fit right in. If you get all bent out of shape and dont like how the more seasoned members treat you then you wouldn't like it here anyways.

If you know this is the #1 site for info on these trucks and want the answers to your questions, whether someone answers you directly, or leads you to search the site for the answer, you just have to deal with it.

) it helps to have a sense of humor  and ability to laugh at yourself sometimes (

it all depends on what you want to do with it.

if you like the cat, auto trans and dont mind going slower, then an m35a3/m109a4 is perfect.

if you want to be able to use just about anything that will burn as fuel, and would rather have a stick, then an m35a2/m109a3 would be better

if you really want to have those 53's and love big trucks then i would get a 5 ton and put a box on the back.
