Yes Its a 9 foot bed and yes I did it myself and the axle is in the stock spot

Hmm... that doesn't look bad with the bigger tires. Might be even better with 46s. I'm contemplating the same thing but I don't want it to look like it's off-balance. Could you put up a straight side-profile picture?

Oh, and nice paint job. What color is that?

Looking at all these fine bobbed Deuces, one thing has become obvious to my curious mind:

WHERE ARE THE SPARE TIRES?

Very few of the pics show a tire mount or even the tire. Most of the few visible spares seem to be carried loose in the bed of the truck.

Appearances (photos) suggest that my new 49" Michelins won't fit in the conventional Deuce carry position, under-bed ahead of the driver's-side rear wheel.

It seems that I will be fabricating an in-bed mount behind the driver, with the tire upright and parallel to the bed's side.

Suggestions?

How about this one for an unusual bob? This was done by my friend and parts supplier Lynn at militarytrucks.com , down in the Austin TX area. It's being built for an exotic animal park. I'll get some more pics when he's done with it. Cool, huh? Don't think it's street legal though.....

Need help with wheels... Just picked this one up last week but it has bad tire rub in turns, driver steer tire is rubbing the draglink hard. Backspace on all wheels is 1.5" from front lip /8.5" from the back. Whats the best or "correct" backspacing???

You need modified HEMMT wheels. They have less backspacing and run the tires out a little farther out.

can you just flip those wheels around to have the dish out or would that look ridiculous? if anyone has tried this and taken a picture i sure would like to see what it looks like… and also would doing o be too hard on the wheel bearings? oh and for the looks question, i plan on running 52's with an 8 inch lift if that would help make it not look so wide

I think you need a lift too....

I think the bolts will interfere with the steering / braking system on the front if I flip them, not much clearance around those knuckles. Dish on the back is 8.5" deep.

Step 1. I need to fix the backspace problem.
Step 2. Mount the .50 AA in the bed
Step 3. Drink a beer and scare the neighbors
Step 4. Repeat step 3

i think it would prolly have a problem with fender rub on your truck being that you havent lifted it yet… and yeah i realize the backspacing is dramatically wider than the way you have it now but it would be nice to see what it looks like
