I am fairly certain at this point you can register you gross weight less than a data plate. This would have to be the case as they have regulations that cover increasing between registered and allowable.
Wont have an sf97 until next year though so I guess I’ll see then.

Unfortunately the numbers I provided are off my data plate. 15500 GVWM. I think I recall years back people lowering by adding a new data plate for the 923a2’s.

I have an M1152A1B2FK5 with a gross vehicle weight of 15500 and curb of 9760. But that’s really not true. They stripped the armor. It may weight 6k now. Wondering if I can update that?
Being a marine unit did you get a title from Virginia or an SF97? Did either say “on road” before you went to Texas DMV? I hear the marines put “on road” on theirs. My sled is waiting on the EUC. Trying to get stuff ironed out while I wait.
what physically did you have to do to the vehicle?
I would check the front tires. If they have cracks or wavy sidewalls I wouldn't take it over 55 if that. I pushed 65 a couple times just to see what it would do but the majority of the time I was running 50-55 with good but wavy tires. If they are cracked or badly wavy I wouldn't do over 45-50...
So just picked mine up and its missing the Pressure Transducer that appears to tie into the fuel system near the fuel primer on the A2 (just above). Is this the same one you are talking about?
If so, do you know it's purpose?
Ok a little slow getting back on here but here goes.
Went up on Wednesday to inspect truck and grab batteries. - Worked out well. 6-7 hrs drive and 2 hrs actually there but did what I needed.
