    MRAP Rims.

Wondering if anyone on here has ever run regular truck tires on the 20” steel mrap rims. Looking at putting a set on my super duty with hub adapters obviously but not sure if I can run a standard E load range 37 on heavy duty rim. I figured if anyone would know it would be this group. Thanks Matt

M998a1 Tunnel Insulation, rear passenger area

Yes they used insulation on the left side only (the exhaust side) and on the right the fuel tank kinda acted as a thermal barrier. They do make NSN 2540-01-560-3945 but it is for the M11XX series so to work with the old style seat bases you will have to cut it down basically as a mirror image of...

    H-161E/U Headset foam

In case anyone is interested this was my solution for replacing the foam. was cheap, local, and worked pretty good. I went to harbor freight and bought the cheap ear muffs like 3 something a pair and pulled the foam from them. There is two pieces so i put one under the speaker and the other was...

Has anyone found a good source for replacing the foam? like from a different civi headset or bulk foam or something...

    Military "CB" Radio

Love that Stoner radio but seems like its an expensive unicorn. Did not realize the SEM-35 was FM that was just a quick google search. I thought about trying to make a gutted case with a cb internals. I was just reading on Radio nerds about integrating the AM-1780 into a civi radio with some...

    Tire debate...

Iv'e heard the term 30 at 30 (30 miles at 30mph) But I don' think I would trust that. When it's on the run flat it is basically flat but enough to keep the rim off the ground and keep the bead locked.

    Tire debate...

I do kinda want to stick to the "authentic" tires. I don't want to mod with different rim sizes and what not I like the military look. Yeah I worked at Sam's club years back and was able to go to an off road driving course put on by Michelin and BFGoodrich they have been affiliated for some time...

    Tire debate...

Thank you for the information on the sidewall. I kind of thought the same thing even on these MT's because I punctured the sidewall and It seamed kinda thin to me. Probably good flex when aired down but how puncture resistant. The MT/R is supposed to have dura wall puncture resistant technology...
