My leak is definitely the transmission not engine oil.

Not engine oil. Just changed the tranny oil with the proper oil as listed earlier in this thread. My best option right now is "don't drive on the highway for extended periods". So that is my plan. For now.

Thanks for the info. In my case, I don't have a leak when the truck is sitting still, or even when it has been run for a moderate amount of time. Only after it has been run at highway speeds for an extended period (over 20 miles). So, I would not expect the bolts to be leaking...

I took my truck out last weekend and ran some errands. Probably about 20 miles or so. All on local roads in traffic. I had no leak. But I am still concerned what it will do when I get it on the highway and run high speeds. Just makes no sense, seems it should leak all the time. Not just...

The only reason you would connect a ground to the switch would be if it was a lighted switch. Otherwise there should only be 3 wires, the center pole is for 12V+ the other two are the outputs. One goes directly to the fan motor, the other goes thru the resistor and to the fan motor. I tied...

There is no alternator made that will charge "stone dead" batteries. Not sure what your point is here?

I got my rebuilt alternator installed tonight...when I tried to start the truck, the batteries were dead. So I jumped it and got it started. The gauge showed it was charging as soon as it started. My other one would take a couple seconds.

Because the guy that built it....told me so. He has been in business for over 30 years.
