    Color/paint-code identification

Hey guys, I want to repaint my M1008 and i'm thinking about going with a single color. I found pictures of a M1009 and a Youtube-video of a M1008 with some nice dark green-gray paint. M1009: https://car-from-uk.com/sale.php?id=86371 M1008: Is that 34079 forest green?

Best position for jack stands on M1008

True, but it's $800 plus $1300 shipping. The springs are ok, no leaf broken or sagging as hell. As long as they do their job, i will not replace them. Last winter with lots of salt really messed the truck up underneath. I have a lot of parts here, that need to be installed also. New fuel tank...

Best position for jack stands on M1008

Thank for your answers! I'll do complete overhaul of the springs. Separating leafs, sandblasting, new sliding-pads, new center bolts, new bushings, new top plates, new u-bolts. Bottom u-bolt plates will get sandblasted too. I hope they are not that badly rusted.

Best position for jack stands on M1008

Hey guys, I need to replace the worn out rear leaf spring bushings. Normally i would lift the truck underneath the axle, but this time it is not possible to place the jack stands there. Does anyone have a picture, where to place the jack stands (i have a pair of 6ton and a pair of 12ton...

    M1008 Timbren SES

Sure, ist's a ride height issue, when the truck is loaded and i'm pulling my trailer. I thought that is, what Timbrens are made for? Flexible bump stop, that stops sagging when loaded by enlarging the total spring rate ? Maybe i got it wrong?

    M1008 Timbren SES

So your truck is not sagging with that load? I'm talking about 2" lower. Drives ok, but the trailer hitch is not level anymore, so the load in the trailer-axes is not ballanced any more and the trailer-breaks are acting strange.

    M1008 Timbren SES

Hey guys, anyone has 1st hand experience with Timbren SES pump stops on the rear axle? With 1 ton of firewood on the bed, the rear of my truck is sagging way to much for towing my 3,5ton trailer in a safe way. I guess the Timbrens would be an easy and streetlegal solution, if they really work...

    Torque converter cover bolts

Thanks! Really nice pictures! I thought my workhorse is kinda clean from below, but wow! That´s what i would call showroom condition. So, if just such a small clamp needs to be fixed, i´ll reduce the thread with a threaded insert (Ensat) to metric M6 and use a rubber insulated stainless cable...

    Torque converter cover bolts

I´m a little confused now. So these bolts really are used to hold the cooling lines with some sort of clamp? But doghead posted they are not used on the cucv, just a few minutes after i started the thread? Dogheads post seams to be deleted now, hmmm. Anyone has a picture of this clamp attached...

    Torque converter cover bolts

Hi guys, i found out, there are two bolts missing on the bosses on my torque converter cover. Does anyone know the right size of these bolts and what they are used for? Found a picture on google: Maybe there are some more parts missing, like a bracket for fixing the cooler pipes or something...

IP problem, center bolt/shaft came loose

Another try: Without 12V the metal linkage on the shutoff solenoid presses against the metal link on the left side inside the IP. That linkage (metering valve?) should be spring loaded towards the front of the car all the time?

IP problem, center bolt/shaft came loose

The lift pump should be ok, when i get a solid stream out of fuel-filter outlet? I have a pushbutton for cranking as a failsave, so a broken ignition switch won't let me stranded. No start with key or pushbutton. Any more ideas, before i spend 1k on a new IP?:???:

IP problem, center bolt/shaft came loose

Spring loaded? That's why i couldn't turn in back in. Thanks! So the search will go on... Timing chain seems to be ok, that IP-pump gear is turning, when the starter turns. I guess i should list the things i already checked, maybe there is something i missed? Batteries were old -> installed...

IP problem, center bolt/shaft came loose

Hey guys, after replacing glowplugs, fuel filter, batteries and starter, I think ich found the real cause of my no-start problem. The center shaft (or bolt?) in my IP came loose and is grinding at the timing cover. Anyone has seen something like this? I guess i need a new IP or can this...
