I'm about to remove the complete glass units for the frames I have, and I was going to put them in a bin covered in MEK. I was thinking if it sat for a day or two, the solvent would break down the sealant and the windows may be easier to remove from the frames. I'll post how it goes in a few days.

So the windshield replacement IBIS TEK units are not cheap. $1600 each. I have both sides coming. They are new manufacture heated and per mil specs. I just have to figure out how to remove the originals.

Is it possible just to replace the glass if I had new glass? Theres a vendor on Ebay that had some sort of tool/device to remove the glass from the frame and replace. At least that's what it looked like it does.

Did you install the Ibis Tek windshields? I have no experience with these and I'm trying to gather the data to determine what I need. I do have a military contractor that has new heated windshields for these if your interested. Can I ask what the thickness of the Ibis Tek windshields is?
