    Didnt post for a long time, was too busy with other things, but I still have the M1009 and use it off salt-season ;) got her running on saturday, been sitting for 5 months, that was kind of a long winter, but not very much snow...also short video of the start ;)

    some time gone since the last post...But the CUCV is still doing well, today the M1009 got some service , engine oil & filter, greasing driveshafts and joints and I decided its time to fix the t-case output seal..sat in there like welded, 15 minute job took an hour atleast o.O anyone ever...

    put my M1009 back on the road today (Have it seasonally registered here in Germany from April 1st to november 30th), started right up after sitting for 4 months, batteries in and started on first attempt...well a bit rough but still started , that counts haha ;)...

    threw some grease on the pitman arm connections today, had a clunk noise when turning left, now its solved no more "weird" noises on turning any direction, she´s ready for road safety inspection now..illegal to drive without that in germany ..lets hope I can post more in the future, M1009 was...

    No, in the headlamps I´ve put some Phillips +60% bulbs , they work fine for me. (Im not 100% sure if its really phillips but im sure it said +60% on the package...is like 2 years ago that i`ve replaced the old ones) I doubt LED headlamps are legal here in germany ....

    if its a M1008/M1028 you could still haul something. The TH-400 + the 4.56 gears should do fine. but no high speeds then, a M1009 does not fit for towing really heavy stuff... 3.08 10 bolt axles and a weak hitch.

    The 6.2 is basically the civi one, just with a 24V system (so you could jumpstart other army equipment) . You may consider reading through the TM´s found on this site.     nice truck you have there..how long did you run it with not enough transmission fluid? If its now shiftig good then maybe you got away with it....how does the fluid look? red? dark? brown & smelling like it burned?
