I was able to remove a bunch of cables from our M1097R1. Attached are photos of the cable labels and cable connector ends to show their condition. I have not done any research yet on these cables so I do not know their value, if any.

Using the borescope I was able to see the hangup and removed several cables. There is one large diameter cable and one smaller one. I think I will be able to remove the smaller one and it looks like the larger diameter one may turn towards the firewall. I got tired and sleepy from our big BBQ...

I forgot that I have a borescope that I got a few years ago to look inside a wall to see where some wires were going. I am charging it and, weather permitting, see if I can see what is going on inside that channel.

@Cybul - Are you serious? Which cables are you looking for? I am trying to remove all the radio related cables from the bed to make it more dog friendly back there. I have already removed the rear radio tray and speaker in the above photo in case anyone is interested...
Am I weird in that I like the smell inside our HMMWV?

@Mogman - Found the TM and yes that is exactly the bolt part. figure 199 does not show the nut and washer under the body though.
The bolts I am trying to remove are holding the radio cable channel guard to the bed. I want to remove the cables and see if I can put some insulation or gasket...
