I insulated my cab (floor, sidewalls and firewall)after I primed and painted it, also installed a carpet kit. I used sound deadening material and 3m adhesive (great stuff). It made a huge difference. You can carry on a conversation at a normal level, and elimiated the majority of the road...
It should be a blast to shoot off the two mounts on the M35.
M2hb and M60's mounted on the truck and on the public road in Missouri is definately a crime, and would be a really bad idea, unless you want to stay at the "county hotel".
I will just keep everything legal and stick to private...
Here are some more photos of the hatch I built in the hard top. It was quite a job, the top is thin and hard to weld on without burning it up, I also had to rebrace the top after I cut the hole, but I am very pleased with this build. I also included a photo of my M64 cradle for the M2hb I...
I modified the hard top with the custom hatch opening. I am toying with ideas for the hatch cover, (canvas, fiberglass, steel, etc.) I will need to get it figured out and fabricated before winter Chris
On this truck I will have a M2hb on a MK64 cradle mount on the m66 ring, and an M60 with mount on the MK16 in he back. I will post pictures with the guns on the truck, in the near future. Here is the picture of my 50 caliber. Chris
I repainted my truck a few weeks ago and removed the soft top. I then finally got a hard top I had purchased and then modified put on my truck. It was a little difficult with the M66 mount, but I had lots of help. I also added a MK16 mount in bed to go along with the ring mount. Not very...
Mine is mounted in the receiver hitch I added. It can be removed when you pull a trailer, and the tralier would block anyone seeing whether you have a rear license. Buddy of mine came up with this idea. Chris
Got my exhaust installed, here are a few pictures. Went with dual 3" exhaust with cutouts because I wanted to be able to move alot of air from the supercharger. Chris
After two years in the planning stage, I finally got around to sanding, priming and starting the repainting process on my deuce with the help of a few friends. So far I really like the sand color. I used two part primer and gilispe paint. I should get finshed up before the end of the weekend...
The hose was a pain. I finally found one that would work, but it was trial and error. I will look and if I find the part # I will post it for others doing the conversion. Chris
Here are a few gauge and switch pictures. I am pleased with this set up, the pictures are so so but they will give you the idea of what I did on the M1009. The first switch this is on "red light" is the one for the electric fuel pump on the fuel tank. Chris
I am hanging my speakers on the roll cage I built for the back of the m1009. You can go to the salvage yard and find the jeep speaker boxes from the late model jeeps that attach to their roll bar and adapt them. Those units also have dome lights you can wire up. Chris
