Thanks for the response - I don't have any other lights besides the black out light on the front.
However, there is a bracket on the hood that looks like it would hold some lights but there is nothing there and I've been wondering what it was for as well.

Was wondering if anyone knows what part this is?
I have 3 wires that hang in that spot and look just like that wire loom - I found this from an episode of Dirt Everyday where they were building a humvee.
This will most likely answer my mystery wires!
They look very similar to the ones I got from Midwest Military Equipment - install was as simple as unplugging the old and plugging the new ones in.
I cleaned everything as I was going.
Thanks for the info. After looking at the drivers seat I figured some work was going to be put into it and came up with the same idea you did. Do you remember what thickness you went with on the flat steel bar?

Hey, I also bought the seats from midwest military and have done the rear seats with no problems after buying their seat plates.
How did you do the front seats? any pics?
They seem to be a bit more work and just looking for some guidance.
