    Water leak

Recently cleaned mine too. Took me a good amount of time with a piece of wire and air compressor. Got a shopping cart worth of composted leaves out. Hopefully its stays relatively dry now. You'd be surprised how clogged those things get.

Here's some photos of what I've found so far.

    Possible registration number?

Thank you gents, I did find the registration number on the vin plate. Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that you needed a different number found on the bumper do do a FOIA request to find where it has been. As far as the number that I shared a photo of, is it safe to assume...

    Possible registration number?

Howdy, Been trying to find the registration numbers for a while on my M1009. No luck on the tailgate since it was bashed in and rusted. The rear bumpers have several numbers but they are all unit IDs. And the front bumper already had the paint peeling and rusted where the reg numbers would have...

    fuel filter and lines

I Also howdy neighbor. I live just north of the Twin Cities. Don't see many CUCVs driving around here so it's cool knowing seeing that you're in the area.

    fuel filter and lines

I got tired of my original filter, wasn't leaking per say but it was allowing air to get in the lines and I had to turn it over longer to start it. I cobbled this together and it works well. The pressure gauge doesn't work right now, but thats troubleshooting for another day. I would definitely...

    CUCV 1008,1009, 1028 prices.

Starting to see a lot more squarebodies in movies and shows. Wouldn't be surprised if the price jumps have something to do with all the retro fads going on too. I got lucky and found my M1009 on the side of the road for $2800 last year. Had the typical metal cancer to it so not a screaming deal...

CUCV M1009: Is it 3 OR 4 Outlets for Fuel Tank Sending Unit??

Not a problem! I took that photo last year when I was replacing my rotten bed, figured I'd make an access panel for when I need to replace my sending unit. One of these days I'll post a thread of my M1009 saga. I wish you the best of luck!

CUCV M1009: Is it 3 OR 4 Outlets for Fuel Tank Sending Unit??

Mine looks like 4. Not sure on interchangeability between gas and diesel.

    M1009 New to me...

On the bright side it looks a lot better than the Minnesota M1009 I picked up last year. Mine was a complete rust bucket and there were pretty much no rockers, wheel arches or bed left. (Been meaning to put up a thread on my progress) You got a project ahead of you, but keep your head up. Since...
