Steel Soldiers MV of the YEAR - 2014 VOTE HERE!

I'd buy that for a dollar....maybe even a few dollars.

Steel Soldiers MV of the YEAR - 2014 VOTE HERE!

Just for the record.... you guys suck! I flipped back and forth between the pictures of all the MV's for almost 2hours and thought I finally had it narrowed down until I actually started reading all the posts. Now I am back up to three. I hate you all. Zout should get the poll MV (most vocal)...

    keeping count...

I would be willing to bet that his/her initials were V.C. And of course my mind went straight to the gutter.

    Vietnam Deuce bumper-mounted wire cutter?

Most of the convoys we ran in Iraq (OIF 1&2) had a wire cutter on the lead vehicle. It was created to protect the gunners because we didn't yet have the up-armored HMMWV's and the TTP of the baddies at the time was to string wire under overpasses or between light poles to try and decap the...

Hmmm..do you like low flying aircraft?....then here ya go!

The purpose of a counter rotating prop is to allow a more powerful engine. If an engine is too powerful for the aircraft, the rotational force of the prop could twist/flip the plane. Look up the Sopwith Camel (sp?) and I don't mean the doghouse snoopy was flying. The pilots had to feather the...

309th Aerospace Maintenance And Regeneration Group

As I recall, the F-15's were single pilot (called themselves Eagle drivers in the movies haha). As for the thing under the wing, its a jettisonable fuel tank.

Up with you, level at five thousand

Yep, that's the one. I used to make that run multiple times a day. Got lit up there a few times too. Fun times. I will have to go through all my pictures from Iraq and see if I can find the one I am thinking of. I swear its taken from the exact same angle.

Alaska cold weather power steering leaks. Have questions

AN and MS are just two different styles of fittings. AN will be beveled (flared). If you have AN (flared) fittings on your truck, they will be a 45deg bevel. MS is just like a pipe fitting (think plumbing in your house). When talking about staying "authentic" keep in mind that this is a...

    Painting a M101A1 questions

If its CARC, wear a respirator! That stuff is nasty when it comes off. As for repainting, why not spray the bed with bedliner? I use Raptor Liner (www.tcpglobal.com) myself but any bedliner would work probably. It will stand up to firewood much better than spray paint will.

Alaska cold weather power steering leaks. Have questions

Rubber gaskets, orings, hoses, etc all leak when you get temp drops and then stop went it warms up again. It usually only affects pressurized components like hydraulics but even a gravity fed system will leak if the drop creates enough pressure. One of the best fixes for low pressure hydraulic...

Thank you for your support. It is my belief that the support of those at home allows us to do our job. The knowledge that someone cares will work miracles for a deployed Soldier. Having said that, if any of you know a deployed Soldier, send him/her a letter. I am talking about a physical piece...

Up with you, level at five thousand

Been on here a bit and even posted a few times so I figured that an introduction was probably in order. I have a genset and a few other pieces of military equipment but haven't bought a truck YET. Found this site looking for TM's probably like many folks but stuck around because it was...

    What do you build?

I agree, nice pretty welds. I learned long ago that if you weren't good at welding you had better be good at grinding.... I am good at grinding LOL

Hmmm..do you like low flying aircraft?....then here ya go!

This was taken during vehicle interdiction training in Yakima WA. The driver of the van was also a pilot and knew what was coming but he said that he almost had a bowel movement the first time he got interdicted. I have hours of this type of video including actual interdictions in asscrackistan...
