    LED Light Idiot Check

I going to hijack this thread a little, but hopefully it will help. I have been gathering a list of what bulbs go in what lights. All my reading has stated that all the cluster lights are 168 bulbs with the exception of the Gen 2 light which is a 194. I have been going through he TM 20-P. It...

    LED Light Idiot Check

I would not convert either Gen lights to be safe. Gen 2 is part of the charging system and must be a 194 bulb. I am not sure why you shouldn't or can't convert the front side marker lights. One of my vehicles has them in the front side marker lights and they work fine.

Gen 1 Light & heater control

This is odd so I was wondering if any of you have seen this before. I have noticed that sometimes my Gen 1 light is glowing dimly. You can only see it when it is dark out. You can not see it on sunny day. This morning I made the connection to when it is doing this. It was raining and cool this...

    Fixed; Another Fuel gauge thread

Thanks for the reply. What is "a DVM"? The sending unit is brand new. I know you can get a bad one new but we tested it before installing it and the Ohms zeroed at empty and were around 90 at full. So hwy do you believe that the sending unit is bad?

    Fixed; Another Fuel gauge thread

Vehicle 1987 M1008 Problem: My gauge will only go to 3/8 when I will it up until I can't get any more in there. I just want another opinion before I order a new fuel gauge. What I have tested and done: TM test preformed. Step 1 fuse is good. Contacts are good and have been cleaned. Step 2...

    Need help identifing a part.

Thanks for the offer but I have a wrecked M1009 I pull usable parts off of as needed. It still has the steering column in it. That being said the pictures in your tread did help. I have attached one of them. The part in the red square is what I am talking about. For some reason that TM parts...

    Need help identifing a part.

At first that is what I thought too. The turn signal switch is white and the price that the turn signal lever slides into is definitely black. It would help if i could see the other side of the turn signal switch.

    Need help identifing a part.

I need help figuring out what this part is called and the part number. I believe it is one of the parts in the red square at the top left of the schematic. The turn signal lever inserts into it. It is black and you can see it through the hole where the turn signal level inserts into the...

    Outside air intake?

I did end up blocking off the bypass. I had good and not what I wanted effects. The good was during the winter the heat seemed to do better. All the air was directed through the heater core which helps. During the summer with the heat cut off (the flap is closed against the heater core) there...

    intermediate starting issue

Okay I have checked all the TM recommendations listed above except checking the fuel pressure. I do not have a gauge. I can find no problems or leaks. I am getting fuel throught the fuel filter and found no water in the fuel. Also the problem did not reoccur each time I started it this time...
